Care
For Mother Earth
Conventional agricultural methods affect nature on multiple levels. The past decade has seen the resurgence of organic farming practices that reduce and sometimes reverse the adverse impact on our natural resources.
At Arvind Agribusiness, we not only encourage wider adoption of organic farming practices, we also strive to find newer and bigger markets for organic produce so that organic farming becomes more lucrative and attract more farmers.
Advantages of Organic Farming
No Exposure to Synthetic Chemicals
Pollution of groundwater through synthetic fertilizers and pesticides is a major problem. Organic agriculture replaces these harmful chemicals with manures.
Preservation of Soil and Groundwater
Practices like crop rotations, inter-cropping, symbiotic associations, cover crops, manures and minimum tillage help rebuild the soil constituents and replenish groundwater levels.
Less Dependence on Non- renewable Energy Sources
Decreased use of agrochemical leads to savings in the energy used to manufacture them. Organic agriculture also helps mitigate global warming through carbon sequestration in the soil.
Additionally, our projects under Better Cotton Initiative (BCI) and RTRS are aimed towards building an economically, environmentally and socially sustainable model that helps increase farm productivity, enhance rural biodiversity and enable decent work practices. Currently we have a large footprint of 15,815 ha under BCI cultivation and 40,000 acres under RTRS cultivation.
Advantages of Sustainable Farming

Minimized pollution
Better waste management
Farm biodiversity preservation
Reduction of emissions and increased sequestration of greenhouse gases
Responsible expansion of soybean cultivation
